Counter Side
A studio of mythic proportions Begin a Commission

Craft in the manner of the old workshops

Counter Side builds interiors, counters and gathering rooms with the patience of a temple mason. Every commission begins in proportion and ends in marble, oak and light — nothing louder than it needs to be.

What the atelier undertakes

Custom Counters

Bar counters, service islands and display plinths cut to the millimetre — honed stone faces, shadow gaps, and brass that ages like a coin in a fountain.

Interior Composition

Whole rooms arranged as a frieze: rhythm, sightline and pause. We draw, model and mock up before a single wall is touched.

Joinery & Cabinetry

Oak and walnut casework with hand-cut joints, made in our own workshop and installed by the same hands that built it.

Material Counsel

Marble, travertine, lime plaster, unlacquered bronze. We source from small quarries and advise on what will wear gracefully.

The Process

Four movements, one finished room

  1. I.

    Audience

We walk the site, listen to how you work, and measure twice — light at dawn and at dusk.

  2. II.

    Composition

Drawings and a physical model set the proportions; nothing proceeds until the room reads right.

  3. III.

    Making

Stone and timber are cut in the workshop. You are welcome to visit while it takes shape.

  4. IV.

    Installation

Fitted by our own crew, finished by hand, and left with a care ledger for the decades ahead.

Commission

Begin with a conversation, end with a room that outlasts fashion
